Since 1989, TCP LifeSystems have been delivering software solutions to Life and Pensions Insurance companies globally. These clients have relied on our software to manage several million customer transactions every year.

Our senior team

Ashley Hale

Managing Director

Ashley has been involved with IT development in the Life & Pensions market for over thirty years. In 1990 Ashley joined Swiss Life where he became Operations Manager for their newly launched Personal Finance Division, overseeing both IT and business operations. In 1996 he joined the Marlborough Stirling Group where he programme managed a number of high profile £multi-million implementations in the UK and overseas. During this time Ashley also became responsible for the MSG flagship product LAMDA.

Having previously worked with the company as a client at Swiss Life, Ashley joined TCP in 2005 as Business and Product Development Director to oversee the development and promotion of the SS/G product range as the new generation of e-commerce, ‘self-serve’ platform so necessary for the Life & Pensions Industry.

Chris Ryland

Non-Executive Director

After a successful career in IT consultancy specialising in the Life and Pensions Industry, Chris was instrumental in founding a computer software solutions and outsourcing business in the late ‘80s. This business (which later became known as the Marlborough Stirling Group) grew very successfully and by 2001 was large enough to float on the London Stock Exchange. After four years as a public company, including a spell in the FTSE250, MSG was the subject of a takeover by United Utilities in 2005.

Chris joined TCP LifeSystems as a non-executive director at the beginning of 2010 where his vast experience at MSG is being brought to bear to assist the company further its corporate development plans.

Meet the rest of the team

Danny Essam

Danny started his career at a London Insurance Company as a graduate trainee. Danny progressed in the business stream within IT and worked on many strategic projects including the introduction and integration of hand held computing to the sales force of 2,500 agents.

Danny then joined the Marlborough Stirling Group to work on the redevelopment of a new generation of their LAMDA Life & Pension system, before joining TCP as a Senior Business Consultant in 2002. Danny has also been significantly involved in the design and development of TCP’s latest SS/G Platform.

Chris Samuel

With 20 years customer and marketing led experience, predominantly in Financial Services, Chris brings a wealth of direct-to-consumer, programme management and customer experience expertise  for both our existing and prospective clients. Chris joined TCP in November 2013 from BGL Group where he held a number of marketing and IT positions. Latterly had been part of the team who launched UK online life insurance provider Beagle Street in 2012 and had appointed TCP to provide the quote-sale new business platform following a successful RFP process. Since joining TCP Chris has successfully project managed the implementation of TCP’s first North American client in September 2014. 

Kevin Pledge

Based in Toronto, Canada, Kevin is a former Chief Actuary for Foresters (Europe). He has held several senior operational roles with a number of insurers both in the UK and North America, before launching his own business. In 2000 he started a successful data analytics business where his clients included some of the largest life and health insurers and reinsuers. In 2013, excited by the opportunities presented by online distribution for protection insurance, Kevin sold the business. In 2014 he set up and now runs Acceptiv offering online protection distribution to North America consumers using TCP’s SS/G software.

Sasa Kesic

Sasa joined the TCP management team in 2015, following a 20 year career in the actuarial and systems fields with a variety of blue chip financial services companies.  His past employers and clients include AXA/GRE, Sun Life Financial of Canada, MetLife, Zurich, Swiss Re, Old Mutual, Lloyds Banking Group and Aviva.  Sasa has been involved in actuarial valuations, customer service, compliance, product design & marketing support, illustrations systems, systems migrations, database development and rectifications. At TCP Sasa initially headed the Calculations Engine development, before moving on to programme manage one of TCP’s major clients.
